Covid procedures in salon
As you would expect things in the salon will be a little different over the next few months. Staff and client safety is paramount to us and that's why there have been lots of changes within the salon. Along side these changes we have some new clients procedures which would ask you to follow.
Here is a step by step guide explaining what' s new.
Firstly we are working by appointment only at this current time, we will be adding 15 minutes onto the end of each clients service to allow for cleaning, sanitizing and to minimise client cross over. There will be no online bookings available for a while as we need to be in control of all appointments. Please do not come to your appointment if you are unwell, show any signs or symptoms of coronavirus or have been in contact with someone who has in the last 14 days.
Please arrive prompt at the time of your appointment, we will be working to a tight schedule. There is no waiting area available in the salon at this current time. You must come alone to your appointment with minimal accessories, by this we mean handbags, coats and shopping bags. Please only bring these if necessary.
When you arrive please DO NOT ENTER, the salon the door will be locked, we kindle ask that you wait by our front windows and your stylist will let you in promptly, please leave enough space for anyone exiting the salon.
We are asking for ALL clients to arrive wearing a face covering, it needs to go around the back of the ears NOT the head, this face covering must stay on for the duration of your visit. There will be hand sanitizer available through out the salon for you to use as you wish. We will be taking your temperature using a no touch forehead thermometer, should your temperature be above 37.8 we will unfortunately have to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
You will then be shown to your styling station where we will ask you to hang up any coats on the hook provided. At your station there will be a disposable gown you will be asked to wear.
Your stylist will then carry out a consultation from behind, talking to you through the mirror. You will remain with the same stylist throughout your entire time in the salon.
If you have coloured your hair at home at all you will need to let us know before your appointment as you will need a skin test 48 hours prior to your appointment. We can arrange this when taking your booking.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer any 'niceties' like magazines or refreshments at present. However, there is bottled water available should you require it, but you will have to go outside the salon to drink it as you would be removing your mask.
We can only accept card payment at this current time. If you would like to purchase any retail products please talk to your stylist, we have display only on the shelfs.
The salon has been laid out to allow for social distancing at 2 metres and we will have floor markings to help you with this.
We have had to implement a £1.00 surcharge onto every clients bill, this to cover the extra cost of PPE. This has been kept to an absolute minimum and will prevent us having to increase our prices or impact on any of our promotions.
We know that the salon will look and feel quite different to what your used to, but we are still here, behind all our PPE and will endeavour to make you feel welcome and comfortable as we always do.
